Pancreas Cancer Web

I am a caregiver for my husband who has had pancreatic cancer for 10 months now. So far, he is doing well despite all the dire warnings, statistics and brutally honest oncologists. I, however, as his caregiver am not doing so well. In the beginning, I maintained optimisim and radiated it out to my husband and children. I feel i need support in order not to collapse. It is heartrending and I actually feel like my heart is breaking. He is at stage 4 with the cancer that has spread to the liver. I am just so afraid of going back to those initial months of terrible suffering that he went through. It is also extremely difficult keeping him hopeful. He still works and has chemo every fortnight. He even walks 3 kms a day. I am so proud of him. I would really like to hear from other caregivers who swing from hope to despair and back again. Thank you.
