Pancreas Cancer Web
I LOST MY BUTTER
My mom was diagnosed with pancreas cancer in 1998.She was given two months to
live and died on 3rd of January 1999.I have decided to read up on the disease
as much as possible because there is a possibility that myself or one of my
siblings can inherit the disease. It is a dreadful disease and even now so
many years later i still cant go into details about my experience with out
breaking down. What i can say is that, of my experience and some of the
messages i have read the disease is often mistaken for alot of other diseases
and by the time your aware that it is cancer of the pancreas it is to late.My
mom was first told that she had a pinch nerve then acid reflux it was not
until she was she did the surgery for the pinch nerve/slip disk that she got
jaundice and had a cat scan which revealed that she had cancer and there was
nothing that could be done and she was going to die.Alot of the syntoms that
i read about she had as well. The back pains, fever, loss of apetite, swelling
of the stomack.I really hope that a cure for this disease can be found
soon.To my mom and all the other people that have passed due to this disease
reat in peace. To families that have lost someone to the disease i pray that
god gives you strenght to get throught your pain.FAJ
