I am 50 now, 46 when diagnosed with PC. I had surgery to remove,thankfully
the tail of my Pancreas, where the tumor was. It spread to some Lymph nodes,
therefore-chemo and radiation followed. I had a Groshon(sp) pump for 5 weeks
to continually receive chemo(5FU)along with raidation for the 5 weeks. Then a
1 year maintainance program of chemo injections weekly. I am still having
regular ctscans and bloodwork--but it is going on 4 years and I feel
great----Early detection by some wonderful doctors is what save me--along
with everything I could muster to do-exercise,diet high in
fruits&veggies-juicing, vitamins, Reiki treatment, and most of all a Positive
attitude. I still do most of it to this day-walking 3-4 miles a day, good
nutrition, vitamins and juicing a couple times a week>>>Thanks to God
everyday. I talked to him alot too! and had a great support group of friends
and family.
