Pancreas Cancer Web

My mother was admitted to the hospital When she was moved to nursing home the primary diagnosis metabolic encephalopathy secondary diagnosis was Liver Disease, pancreatic psuedocysts and pancreatis. When we had a home care agent reivew her file to evaluate level of care she would require going forward, she found a letter from a oncologist indicating the CA19-9 levels were elevated and indicated a tumor in pancreas and indicated surgury was not advised and the family needed to be counciled. On November 9 2006 my moms primary care Dr contacted us and indicated the ca19-9 levels are higher. He told us she has a tumor and we need to watch it and is referring her to a oncologist
