Pancreas Cancer Web
My only sister, Joann, age 41, mother of four died a horrible unexpected
death from PC. I wanted to tell her story to let you all know that she was
on this earth. She never drank or smoked. She was religious and a health
nut of sorts. She loved nature and finally moved into her first new home on
the side of a mountain, May 30, 2001 despite terrible backaches. She went to
her doctor and he told her to see a chiropractor. She went a few times, but
no relief came. She had to sleep propped up with her knees bent. She only
dozed for a few minutes and never slept. She did not sleep for the next 6
months. She returned to her doctor and he gave her pain killers and did not
do any more testing. Finally in July her pain was unbearable and her husband
took her to the emergency room at the local hospital. A CAT scan was done
and revealed she was full of CA. Her spleen enlarged down to her lower
intestines. Her liver was full of CA also. The doctor's suspected it
started in the pancreas. She was too far gone for any type of treatment.
She got weaker by the day. Couldn't eat or sleep. She was so weak. She was
in so much pain. She died at home on October 9, 2001.
