SEEKING HOPE
My life partner RD was just been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. He is 62
years old, had been in very good health, but recently was experiencing
increasing tiredness and thirst. The result of a blood test showed that he
had become diabetic, but there was also other complications. The result of a
cat scan showed a large tumor in his pancreas and leisions in the liver. The
result of a liver biopsy shows that the cancer has already spread to his
liver. On March 3 2005, we were told that the doctors recommend chemo, but
give no indications of how long a previously healthy man can hope to live
with the treatment. Normally, I am a very optimistic 55 year old woman, but
I have only heard of rapid declines at this stage of pancreatic cancer. Does
anyone have any 'miricle stories' to share?
