Diagnosed 3 October 2003; Age 52.
Tumor in head of pancreas with arterial involvement and mets to liver.
Suffered from lower back pain. In September 2003, began having stomach pains
and dark urine. Became jaundiced 3 October and received an ERCP same day
which confirmed tumor that was evidenced on a CAT done 3 days before.
Received gemzar treatments from November through February. Stopped when CAT
scan showed tumor was not responding.
Gary is the father of two wonderful sons (that look so much like him). Both
are currently in college and very support of mom, helping out with dad
