Our mother ROSIE went into the hospital last friday. She had been nauseated
and could not eat and had lost 7lbs in a couple of weeks. Urine was very dark
and skin was yellow. On Sunday they found a tumor on her pancreas and they
did a biopsy that day. The first 2 surgeons came in and told her there was
nothing they could do and then a 3rd surgeon came and told her he thought he
could do a procedure called 'Whipple'. The surgery was done on that Tuesday.
Mom has done well post op, has had a temp and alot of pain. Today she was
told that the cancer was in the lymph nodes and the surgeon is referring her
to an oncology doctor. They did remove the whole pancreas, the tumor was on
the head of the pancreas. When I read the testamonials I cry because it seems
as if they are better for a short time and then are taken from us. She will
need chemo and radiation soon. Our mom has always been there for everyone
else and now she needs help and prayers.
