MICHELLE

MY NAME IS MICHELLE AND I AM 35 YRS OF AGE. I WAS DIAGNOSED WITH A TYPE OF TUMOUR CALLED A FRANTZ TUMOUR IN THE PANCREAS IN NOVEMBER 2000. BY THE TIME I WAS DIAGNOSED THE TUMOUR WAS 5CM IN LENGTH AND THE ONLY SYMPTOMS I HAD BEEN SUFFERING WERE MORE TYPICAL OF GALLSTONES, WHICH WAS MY PRIMARY DIAGNOSIS 3 MONTHS BEFORE. I UNDERWENT SURGERY ON THE 19TH OF NOVEMBER 2000 AND HAD THE WHIPPLE PROCEDURE. THE SURGERY WENT VERY WELL AND I WAS BACK HOME WITHIN 8 DAYS. I DID NOT HAVE TO HAVE ANY FURTHER TREATMENT AND UP TO NOW HAVE BEEN FEELING REALLY WELL. I HAVE'NT HAD ANY PROBLEMS SINCE SURGERY AND ALL MY CHECK UPS HAVE BEEN CLEAR. SINCE HAVING THE OP I HAVE EVEN GONE ON TO HAVE A BABY BOY WHO IS NOW 6 MONTHS OLD. I HAVE POSTED THIS MESSAGE JUST TO SAY THINK POSITIVELY TO ANYONE OUT THERE WHO MAY BE GOING THROUGH THE SAME THING AT THE MOMENT IT DOESNT ALWAYS MEAN THE WORST. BEFORE MY DIAGNOSIS I HAD BEEN HAVING TROUBLE WITH MY GALLBLADDER FOR OVER TWO YEARS. GOOD LUCK AND GOD BLESS TO ANYONE GOING THROUGH TREATMENT AT THE MOMENT, I HOPE YOUR PROGNOSIS IS AS GOOD AS MINE. MICHELLE
