Pancreas Cancer Web
A PLACE OF COMFORT
I am a 36 year old Divorced male with 3 kids.In April of 2001 I was diagnosed
with PC.When my doctor told me that I had pancreatic carcinoma,I had no idea
what he was talking about.I had never heard of it before that moment.I had
been an insulin dependent diabetic for 10 years prior to that.So I asked my
doctor what all this meant since my pancreas didnt produce any insulin anyway
why dont we just take it out and whatever this carcinoma is with it.Thats
when he told me that it was inoperable and that it was terminal. He told me
that because of my young age and otherwise good health that I would have 16
months to live. That was 10 months ago and unfortunately, despite all the
miserable treatments and procedures it looks as though he was right, barring
some miracle, which I am confident will occur. However if it doesnt I intend to
enjoy the remainder of my life here in the Pacific Northwest.Portland Or
area.If there are any questions that I can answer for any of you, please dont
hesitate to ask.
