EILEEN IN VA - 2009 Update

After a year of following a single nodule in the upper left lung lobe that showed up on a yearly CT-scan, we decided that after a slight growth in 1 year, it was time to remove it.

Due to the location and size (relatively small) we decided NOT to try a biopsy it first, but just remove it (with a wedge resection) or a complete removal of the lung lobe if it was cancer.

It was positive and they did declare it to be a reoccurence but surgery was the only medical treatment needed. No chemo.

Had the first all clear check in January 2010 and we'll do these every 4 months for another 5 years. So the clock has been re-set but the outcome is still positive.
