My husband had whipple surgery Jan, 2008. He has had lots of complications and will never be any where near normal, but it has been 17 months. Our son had never been sick, and in two months he is gone. They kept telling him it was his gall bladder and surgery was three and a half weeks away. no one would listen. of course it wasn't’ his gall bladder, He had ascities and had to be drained every other day. He had five days of chemo and then had complications from his bowels. He went through so much in such a short time. I keep remembering how he told me about the cancer and how sorry he was. He was worried about me going through it with him like i was with his dad.
He was such a great kid, I am so angry at this disease . I hope to at least be able to raise money for research. Good luck to all still fighting this. I am right there with you.
Good bye our beautiful Dan you will never be forgotten by any of us.
