Hello,my husband name is Kyle.Kyle had never been sick, has worked as a coal
miner for 27 years, Kyle got hurt at work, and that is how we found out he
had Pancreatic Cancer,Admitted to the hopital oct. 1,1999 stay a month,had
surgery and that when he was dx.The cancer had not spread so he was started
on radiation tx. for 5 weeks everyday,a total of 27 tx.Kyle had no problems
with the radiation,Then we started hischemo treatment (Gemzar) once a week,
he has had 16 tx. of Gemzar,with no side affects,only severe fatigue about
the second day after his chemo tx. His oncologist says he is in remission,It
is a struggle everyday, so far the pain is bearable, releived by percocet,he
is slowly gaining his strenght back and some weight,because of the initial
long hospital stay he lost weight from 239 to 170 present weight,God has been
good to us and has given us strength to get through this storm. I am his wife
and caregiver,I am also an emergency room nurse, which helps.so much.
