Thank you Paula and my thoughts are with you on the loss of your mother. My
friend Mary had her original surgery for the gall bladder cancer at Mass
General and has been going to Hitchcock in NH for the last 5 years for follow
I don't believe that patients should accept the 1st opinion that is a 'dead
end' and told there is nothing to be done. I am wondering who has had success
with specific doctors and hospitals. I know this is a terrible disease (as is
pancreatic cancer) and the outlook is anything but promising but I also know
there are people who have had good experiences. I want to gather information
and possibly give her options. This has been like a 'sucker punch' with her
extremely good health and cancer free for the last 5 years.
Thanks again Paula and my best to you.
