So, six months out from a Whipple, three weeks since completion of chemo and I'm still scrawny and getting scrawnier! Eat a very healthy, nutritious diet w/lots of great AK halibut, salmon, fresh veggies, berries, protein powder added to diet, etc., but am staying away from sugars (due to admonitions regarding 'cancer-causing) and fats for digestive issues. . . BUT am about ready to start consuming buckets of ice cream several times a day. My doc says not to worry, will come back gradually, but actually am losing weight. I am working out to rebuild a bit of muscle, not killing myself, but enjoying the activity.

Any tips from folks who figured out this conundrum would be greatly appreciated. We need some body fat up here to keep warm. Thanks so much.
