I don't wan to alarm you, but is your patient having regular BMs, even with Miralax or Colace? Make sure you know the exact location of the blockage. My husband had a feeding tube placed and we were never able to use it because he had a logical blockage that shut down his GI system. We went through four attempts at placing the JG-peg and two attempts to stent, no success. He has been on TPN for two months now. You might want to consult with a top GI doctor.
