Mum diagnosed with pc in head of pan in june 07, underwent whipple in july followed by xeloda and gemzar chemo combo. started experiencing pain in recent months, most notably after eating. docs prescribed enzymes and arranged a ct scan to put her mind at ease. docs found 'something suspicious' that they are pretty certain is recurrent localized cancer. we'll know for sure tomorrow, anyway, just wondering what is the usual treatment for recurrent disease. docs mentioned possibly radiation and chemo. has anyone been through this and what treatment were they given? what were their experiences like.... and what were their side affects? mum is in perfect health and has regained much of the weight she lost from initial disease and post whipple. would love any info. so much info online to trawl through! thanks, cathy
