Pancreas Cancer Fundraiser Chat RoomI have an idea - need help was posted 09/24/2008 12:56 pm by Tricia
My dear father passed away on August 16th (still can't believe it). I want
to do something to help raise money for Pancreatic Cancer and came up with an
idea that my mom thinks is great, but I am not sure and not sure how to go
about it. I am a glass bead artist (of which my dad was very proud)and I
started making little glass guardian angels pendants/charms in memory of him.
I could even add tags with handstamped names/dates or words like, 'faith,
hope, love' etc... I thought I could sell them and give some of the profits
to fund research for this terrible disease that took my loved one all too
soon. My question is, how/where would I go to sell these (other than local
craft shows - which would probably only bring in a few $). I would be
willing to focus my beadmaking almost/if not entirely to this effort. I
would also like to have information to give out to inform people about
Pancreatic Cancer. Any suggestions are much appreciated. If you would like
to see a photo of what I am talking about let me know.
