I am sorry you lost your Mom in such an unexpected way. In taking a
microbiology course, I have learned MRSA and other bacteria reinvent
themselves every couple of years which is why they are hard to treat.
It is an adjustment changing from being in the caregiver role. It is like
you have extra time, don't need to rush to appointments, get medicine, and
everything else involved in helping your Mom fight for as long as possible.
It takes time to sort of shut off that switch. You need to be a caregiver to
yourself now. Take as good care of you as you did for your Mom.
Again condolences to you and your family over your loss. Please take care of
