Well, many of you have been listening to my frustration with my FIL whom has stage I PC. He has completed his 7 of 7 Gemzar treatments, 2 weeks of Radiation that ended two weeks ago, and had a J-tibe insterted 2 months ago to supplement his lack of eating. (we call it anorexia)Surgery was to follow in about 4 weeks. His attitude has alwayss been one of defeat. Just not like the "old" Ted. We try to gently encourage him or he says we are "picking" on him. We love him, we need him in our lives. We lost his wife last Aug. after a horrible battle with melonoma that mets to the brain and lungs. Anyway, we visted his surgeon Thusday, and this Dr. says Ted's nutrition is such a problem that he now will not do surgery. He will give Ted a month to get his numbers up and will see what to do then. We are so frustrated it hurts. Our hands are tied. I see all of your stories and the determinaton to beat this that I just cry. Paul Lester recommended a book called "Coping", Ted won't read it. I am exhausted. Thanks for listening, Cyndi
