Dear all

pleased to say that Les, 4 years 8 months after surgery when aged 43, managed to fly out to Hannover to join Trace , 3 years after surgery and GB verteran triathlete before and after surgery, and the rest of the riders cycling from London to Poland on Tuesday.

They are attracting a lot of attention in Germany and Poland where charity events like this are a rarity.

You can see a video from RTL TV in English and German at http://www.rtlregional.de/player.php?id=3199

and follow their progress at www.biketothefuture.org.uk

Also taking part in 'Ride Around the World' is Rob Lewis, an Australian Ironman triathlete who had surgery to remove a pre-cancerous tumour in his pancreas last year. He is organizing an event in Adelaide Australia on 7th Sept see

Hope you can help Les reach his target of 40,000km (the distance round the world) and 40,000 raised for awareness and research by getting on your bikes for pancreatic cancer.

bw Sue (husband dx June 2001 age 48, survived 27months inoperable)
