I think everyone has stomach pain after the whipple - it may be gas, it may be scar tissue acting up, but it's really pretty common to have pain from the stomach through the abdominal area.

As I mentioned, it is often gas, and it can be very persistent (I've had episodes last for and hour or two, and it's pretty miserable.)

The long term survivors say it lessens a bit as the years go by.
