LK - I'm so sorry to know you are going through this. Have you read 'Final Gifts'? Excellent book written by hospice nurses. Some of the things you discussed are mentioned in the book as signs that the end is nearing. It is not at all uncommon for a person nearing death to seemingly intuitively know when they will pass. Sometimes there are things they need to get done first - perhaps your Dad's birthday. I know that it was important for you to be able to share that with him.

Take care of you and may you feel the warmth, strength and peace of love surround you and your family during these days. I will keep you and your family in my thoughts and prayers.

Nancy
