Regina, my husband has been experiencing stomach pain for the last year (his whipple was Mar 07). He too has been scanned, poked and prodded with no answers and with no reoccurance either. The only thing the pain mgmt dr could come up with is that perhaps the nerves in the stomach have become severely tramatized from the surgery, since the whipple is so extensive.

I suggested to the dr that perhaps a nerve block would work (based on what I had read on this board!) and he agreed. Unfortunately my husband has not been able to have it done yet as we need to clear up infections he is currently fighting first.

Good Luck to you.
