I've wondered about all the radiation I've had this past year, from dental X-rays, mammogram, CT and PET/CT scans to the radiation treatment itself. It comes down to a matter of perspective. If it takes twenty years for a radiation induced cancer to develop but the scans and radiation will help prolong my life in the meantime...Catch 22. I hope I'll still be wondering about this when I'm 79.
