inactivity, weakness and combativeness could have been from the elevated potassium levels/hyperkalemia. Has anyone checked your husband cortisol levels. There are a ton of things besides kidney failure that could cause these problems. You remind me of another young couple who use to post here her husband was having the same problem with his potassium levels and he had adrenal involvement and his wife drove him to MD andersone and they said his kidneys were hemorrhaging. What you need is an oncologist that isn't treating the 2 of you like children telling you what she thinks you have to do.

Get him into the hands of an oncologist that will work with dr Fine and someone who will do the proper testing, dx and treatment of this condition that is knocking him out of his treatment. You are fighting for his life, he may not be able to help you with this and he is counting on you so get tough, get mean and get going.

Where are you? We might be able to get you into the hands of a really good onc who will fight for his life.

Did she mention dialysis if needed?
