SHERYL (In Memory of my Mom)


She was diagnosed April 8, 2005. Her doctor gave me the news 'Lg. mass on her pancreas'. Our world was suddenly turned upside down and eventually would never be the same. She died 2 weeks after the 17 hour surgery she had on May 11th, 2005. She never really had a chance to fight. I'm both greatful that she went so fast and angry that more isn't being done for Pancreatic Cancer research. My Mom was the most loving Mother and Grandmother and so devoted to her family. She grew up struggling financially but this never made her bitter. She was a hard worker and had so much faith in the Lord. She cared for disabled children for many years and most recently for Alzheimers patients. She loved to help those who were in need. She was a beautiful singer and sang in my siblings weddings (I eloped). She didn't always have alot of self confidence because of never going to college but in my mind, the way she was towards people, and the things she did in her life to help others was worth much more than a college degree. I think she followed the path the Lord wanted her to take and always remained faithful to him. I truly believe that he is now rewarding her in Heaven. I LOVE YOU, MOM!
