I know what a tough decision this was to make for both of you. Don't think of it as the end though. She think of it as a means to make Laine as comfortable as possible so you both can enjoy each and every day. Hospice has so much more knowledge about pain and pain meds than doctors and I'm not sure why that is. My daughter is a hospice nurse plus works a surgical floor in a large hospital and she tells me this all the time. They will give her meds that control the pain, but yet don't make her sleep all the time. It just seems like more chemo would just be torture. I hope that you have a wonderful Hospice group and nurse and wish the very best for both of you. Take care and we'll be praying for you and Laine. Marie
