Hello - they found a 2cm mass in the head of the pancreas of my dad during a scope on Friday. We are waiting for the final pathology to come back tomorrow. The doc thought it was contained, but who knows. We at least would like an opinion about the possibility of a Whipple.

Question - any recommendations for Dallas or Houston? I know MD Anderson is wonderful, but will it take forever to get in??? I would hate for him to be a candidate now, wait to get in at MD Anderson, then not be a candidate because it took so long.

Question - will they do a pet scan next to see if it has spread or can they tell from the original biopsy?

Thanks.
