My mother complained she had stomach aches for a few years before diagnosis. She began to express her concern to her doctors a year before diagnosis. She could not lay on her left side, she was jaundice and had pain with burning sensation in her stomach. She was given tums and sent home several times. She asked for a upper GI but was told it was not necessary. The pain got so bad she went to emergency, they did an ultrasound and found a bad galbladder. She told them that was not where the pain was but they wanted to take it out before doing any other tests.Months after surgery she still had pain and they finally ran the neccessary tests and they found a mass on her pancreas. She passed away one year later.
