I havent posted on here in a few weeks but I try to read often .My step dad was dx 1-21 with pc & LOTS of mets to the liver .He was given about two months to get all his "things"in order, after that awfull news we just kind of did what his family practice dr said to do .BIG MISTAKE !!Thanks to all of the great info we got from this board and many wonderful ideas we finely got his dr to let him have a second opinion with a real onc.He met with this wonderful man for the first time on 2-3 and the first thing out of his mouth was "lets get busy , we got our self some work to do " .As it turns out what he has is Islet cell carsonoma and he can be treated and insted of two months we'r thinking more like SIX Years , he still has many mets to his liver but they think with chemo they can control that .The point is DON'T give up and demand a second opinion ,maybe a third .You might get the same answer each time but ... you might no. My God bless all of you ,Teri
