hi marcie! i know...happy new year mom!! it was ok; at least the fire department guys were cute!!! mom is doing much better today. her albumin was really low last week when we spent xmas in the hospital getting the transfusion. i spoke to the onc last week about the iv albumin and he was pooh-poohing the treatment. he said that we will keep monitoring it and if it does get worse or does not improve, then we will try that. he said that she needs to eat: protein, carbs, etc and that that should help. her swelling has gone down significantly, which is great. i was thinking about the ammonia level last night as well as i had read on the board that could trigger the confusion. we will get it checked this week at the doc's. other than that, she seems to be fine today; a bit groggy, but more lucid. she had a good night, considering. thanks for asking. have a happy new year! email me anytime~~
