My uncle was diagnosed with stage IV cystadenomacrcinoma on 12/15/07 based on his hystological results. It was on the end of the pancreas and it was seurgically removed. The doctor informed him that he was able to clean the area very well and that he took out the body and the tail of the pancreas along with the spleen. Cancer was found in the nearby lymph nodes and was spread o close to the kidney and the aortha. What are his chances he is only 49 and what is the best treatment available. Does the fact that the surgeon was able to remove it gives him more hope. Thanks in advance,
Nina
