My husband, Marc had the whipple for adenocarcinoma of the head of the pancreas 6/06. He f/u with chemo and chemo/radiation combo like most for approx six months after surgery. But, he was scheduled for surgery w/i 1 month after d/x. My understanding is it's important to move quickly for treatment. Also, have a surgeon that has a long hx of whipples and onco that are aggressive at treating pancreatic CA. Sorry you are here, but glad it's operable so far. God Bless and keep posting. Marcie.
