forgot your other questions - I did not have any premeds. About half way thru my treatments my veins started to collapse, (I have very tiny veins) so I had a port placed. There were some people there with pic lines, there were also people there who just had iv's done each time. So, it seems we all vary, but this gives you some ideas.
