I am coming up on 2 yrs post diagnosis stage IV... there are folks who post all the time with stage IV that are still here after 2 yrs, 3 yrs.... survival depends on so many factors... often, we are told 'x months' and it can turn out to be x+++years!

I was sent this article about statistics by another PC survivor. It is excellent!

Glad you found this board! There are great people here always willing to help, both patients and caregivers. The most important thing for your mom in law is that she finds an oncologist that she is comfortable with and that she trusts. Second opinions seem to help too.

PanCAN is an amazing organization that offers support and information.

Good luck! Jennifer
