Rosie, I am glad that your Mom's suffering is over and she has gone to her eternal reward. It does seem that we do all this anticipatory grieving while our loved one is dying, but the reality sets in after the comfort of the rituals after death. The traditions of funerals, wakes, and receiving condolence calls and mail brings great solace, but eventually the attention from others is less and less and we have to face reality and wing it alone. Take all the help and comforting that you can and don't be afraid to tell others when things get really painful and you feel alone. Take care of yourself and your own needs, that's so important. Please join us in the bereavement board, there's lots of help offered there. You and your family are all in my prayers as you travel this lonely road. God bless. Mary Jo
