Thank you for your kindness and responding. I had a feeling that since her condition is so critical that there would be not much hope. The sad thing about this illness is that it goes left untreated because of the trouble with catching it early enough. This poor lady trusted her Dr. so much that she wouldn't listen to her husband who pleaded with her to go back to the Dr. and tell him that things are not right. She has vanished in front of her husbands eyes. The dr. told the husband it was due to diabetis. He knew this was not right after watching his mother die of lung cancer. We saw the signs but the Dr. did not. We had this fear a year ago. Talking among ourselves we thought this was clearly a sign of cancer. How can we lay people get the help needed when a Dr. ignores our pleads. The husband was told don't worry. This poor lady works in a hospital and friends and coworkers saw her everyday and never said hey something doesn't seem right. This is the sad part. We all know that we are to watch for the signs and when they are present they are turned on deaf ear. We must take control and say HEY, this is not right. This lady trusted her dr. who is also a co-worker of her and saw her everyday. He weighted her every couple of months how comes this was not enough of a sign?. I guess that at this time we are angry.....I know nothing can change what took place, but if we can alert someone else to take charge. Thanks for listening and allowing me to vent............Any advice will be welcomed. I am scared that this person does not have a fighting chance that she would have had we known sooner of the illness.................. God bless her.......and her family.... Thanks again Pam
