My mom had a similar reaction when they increased her morphine dosage. She couldn't stay awake, couldn't eat, couldn't/wouldn't talk to us. When we cut back the morphine, she "woke up" and could carry on a normal conversation. Hope that's all it is - let us know. Cathy
