It is so hard when I come to this page and read that PC has invaded yet, another family. I am so very sorry. Suzi is so right when she says that you just have to live one day at a time. Only god knows how much time we have left on this earth. My own father died of PC in April, and he used to see the worry on my face each day, wondering how long he had left with us...and he told me one day, "Lori, you could go out today and get hit by a car...and you would have spent your last seconds worrying wh en I was going to go." He was right. I then began to just take things one day at a time. We made so many wonderful memories in his last few months! My husband and kids and I were there for him each and everyday. We told him, hugged him and showed him our love. It was tough seeing him go through the chemo and radiation, the surgery and the recovery...there were days that I was so emotional and scared. My sisters called to check on things and always said they were glad I was here for him. I secret ly felt like they were glad it was I and not them going through the bad stuff....but they did not realize that bad comes with good. I have no regrets, will never wonder if he knew how much I loved him, or any of that!!! Now they will tell me that the y wish they would have come out here earlier, or that they would have called more. Just hang in there Beth, and as Linda said love, love, love him! Be there for him and your family. You are part of our chat family now, and we will be here for you. GO D BLESS and keep in-touch, Lori.
