Currently the only path to a PC cure is through a Whipple or distal pancreatectomy. However, there is a high recurrence rate among those with resected tumors. So you need to be diligent, get post-resection adjuvant therapy and monitor the disease. To answer your question - yes, you can be ''cured'' with a Whipple or distal. There are many who survived 10, 20 or more years after a resection, some of whom frequent this Board.
