This is how I understood it. While a TPN is most helpful when a person cannot maintain sufficient sustanance to live, it can be even more harmful in the event of the body trying to shut down naturally and that can cause terrible pain.

Little Sis ate by mouth less and less until one day she refused to eat at all. She so loved food that it was really hard to accept it, but we knew it was time. From the last bit of food till her passing was a little over a week.

I wish I had the words or skills to make this better for you. I hate this monster with all my being...to see such wonderful people hurting so and standing by helpless is so very frustrating.

All I can offer is prayer and I'm still going to pray for that miracle!
