So they checked her gastrin fasting levels and they were fine. I will share my experiences. So were mine when I first got sick but like Sherry I could not eat without my stomach burning like crazy terrible diarragh and lost 60 pounds in 3 months. They said it was not ZES since my gastrin was 47 however I was coughing up blood and when they did their scope found three bleeding ulcers. They were a bit confused but one doctor said take his gastrin when he fasts then give him a meal and test it again. For unknown reasons my gastrin was fine when fasting but rose 10 fold after I ate. 4 months on the right PPI and I had to try many to get the one to work for me the burning stopped and the next scope showed only scar tisse from the ulcers. I would not count it out Michael just because she may be passing a gastrin test. The introduction of a meal may change everything.
