Where and by whom is your mom being treated? Have you gotten a second opinion? Originally, my husband's onc. didn't want to do the radiation, but Lee did have two positive lymphnodes, and from everything I'd read, even without positive lymphnodes, and with radiation, PC still comes back all too often. For that reason, Lee choose to have the radiation; our thoughts were to do all we could to remain cancer free.

Radiation was a difficult; it zapped him, and since then he has had problems controling his blood sugar and keeping weight on. I don't know if the radiation is responsible or not, but I know despite that, he would do it again. He is 15 mons. post whipple and still clear (thank God).
