My Mom had a whipple this past Feb, followed by Gemzar. She has one more Gemzar session. She was originally scheduled to have radiation after chemo, but since her scans came back clean, the dr told her she does not need radiation at this time. Seems most whipple patients have both chemo and radiation. I know each case is different, but I'm concerned why the doctor aborted radiation which was part of the original regimen. I just want to make sure the dr's are covering all bases. I welcome your thoughts, ideas, and suggestions ... Don't most whipple patients have radiation at some point???
