The concentrator is what we have here, and even though Mike is not dependent on the oxygen as say someone with asthma or emphysema would be, it helps him maintain a higher quality of life. And since he is now so weak, it makes a tremendous difference. The portable tank lasts about 5 hours on 2l delivery. It is good to have for a trip to the doc or if the power goes out (we have used it for both). I think you will be fine with the concentrator, but one hint. It is a bit noisy, although I have gotten so used to it I seldom notice it.
