Just got back from chemo - what a long day that is now! Saw Dr Anagnost and he switched Don from Ritalin to Decadron for energy; added stronger dose of Aranesp for anemia preinfusion and extra liquids for dehydration. He said the low grade anemia is a big part of the problem. Said his ankles were swollen for the same reason. Concerned that taxotere is contributing so will do a CT scan mid-August and see where we are and if he needs to go to Oxaliplatin instead. Don's coloring was a bit better after chemo
Hope all is well in your corner!!! Don decided he wanted clam spaghetti tonight so off soon to the kitchen. He's sleeping off chemo at the moment but feeling more encouraged. We'll start the decadron in the morning - Dr A' nurse called in the script so we could get it on the way home. We really like our med team in W'ton.
Have a great evening! Thanks for the note! Love, Cindy
