Discussion BoardPET scans and blood tests was posted 07/03/2007 12:32 am by gbc dad
My dad was diagnosed with GBC in 12/06 after a standard gb removal. 1 lymph
was removed at that time that was positive. All of his blood work and PET
scans did NOT show any metastic disease (Jan. 2007). We knew it was in the
portion of the bile duct that was removed so they did do a liver resection in
3/07, removed 1 lobe, all of bile duct, 5 local lymphs and duodenum. All
local lymphs were clear as where all surgical margins. No chemo or radiation
My guestion is - Is it common to not have any evidence of disease on the PET
and CA 19-9?
