Hi, I'm new to this chat group. My mom and best friend was diag. with PC about a month ago. 2.5cm tumor on head of pancreas, poss. spots on liver. She saw a surgeon at Mass Gen. who said Whipple was not poss. Her gastroenterologist isn't moving fast enough, in my opinion. Contacted Dr. Order at Center for Molecular Medicine who does a direct injection of 32P, followed by six weeks of external radiation. He hasn't given final assessment on whether she is candidate for this. Any opinions on this procedure, and any others involving radiation and not chemo (she's really afraid of that)? Don't want her to spend 8 weeks in some hotel having daily treatments if it won't help with quality/length of life. Thanks for any thoughts.
