I toyed with a lot of ideas but after a deep, soul-searching conversation with her and many with my dad and knowing that even if we could spot something right now, she probably couldn't handle the chemo, I really think we're doing the right thing. I'm not sure if she could have an MRI with her fake hip?? But the truth is, I think getting started with chemo again will be the beginning of the end for her and right now she feels pretty good most of the time (just tired in the afternoons) and is enjoying shopping for skinny clothes and eating out. I don't know. I'm just thinking we should ride this wave a while longer. Know what I mean? I anticipate that eventually she will give chemo a try again. Hopefully she can put on a little weight before that time and tolerate it better. It's just a hard call, whichever way you look at it. Seems to be par for the course with PC.
